“2024 Scientific Action for Youth Sustainable Development” was successfully held

The “2024 Scientific Action for Youth Sustainable Youth Development” was successfully held in Hainanfrom June 25 to July 2. This event is jointly hosted by the Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development(ICCSD) of Tsinghua University,UNESCO and undertaken by the UNESCO ICUA and the “Carbon Future” practicedetachment of the Water Conservancy Department of Tsinghua University.

The event was heldin Sanya, Wuzhishan, Qionghai and Haikou of Hainan Province, covering all ages.The forms of the event include classroom teaching, field visit, discussion andcommunication, etc. It aims to combine the local ecological resources inHainan, create ecological civilization education courses with Hainan characteristics, establish the awareness of climate change and carbon neutrality, and spread the concept of sustainable development.

The organizers lookforward to building an action platform to stimulate more youth’s scientific enthusiasm, cultivate their practical skills and innovative thinking, andinject new vitality into the cause of global sustainable development.
