Today, the international community acknowledges that improving air quality can enhance climate change mitigation and that climate change mitigation efforts can improve air quality.
Encouraged by the increasing interest of the international community in clean air, and emphasizing the need to make further efforts to improve air quality, including reducing air pollution, to protect human health, the General Assembly decided to designate 7 September as the International Day of Clean Air for blue skies.
Climate change and air pollution are a deadly duo. On this third International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, I call on all countries to work together to combat air pollution.
Hello everybody, this is Joanna here.I will introduce my city—Shenzhen.
It was a small fishing village 40 years ago, but now it is a modern、 international and one of the best cities in China.
Shenzhen has a very good living environment for people here.It has a subtropical marine climate, the summer here is not very hot but wet, and the winter here is worm and comfortable.Many kinds of birds migrate here for wintering, and many sea animals come here and look for there foods.
As a modern city,Shenzhen has many skyscrapers, such as Diwang tower, KingKey 100 Tower, and the highest, PIFC stands in the CBD of Shenzhen, and the special one,China Resource Tower aka the Bamboo shoots, it’s very famous for its shape.
There are over 20 million people living in the city, and they feel the environment is full of harmony.There are over 1200 parks and 2000 kilometers of greenways all over the city. The air quality is top 10 among Chinese cities.People live here have strong mind of environmental protection, there are many people, young and old, apply for jobs as volunteers to protect the city clean and tidy.
