The first China Europe Corporate ESG Best Case Conference successfully concluded in Frankfurt

Frankfurt, September 19, 2024- The first Central European Enterprise Best Case Conference on Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) was successfully held in Frankfurt, Germany. The conference, with the theme of "Joining Hands, Shaping the Future Together", attracted about 500 guests from various sectors in China and Europe to discuss and share practical experience and successful cases in the ESG field.

Background of the conference

With the global emphasis on sustainable development, ESG has become an important standard for measuring corporate social responsibility and long-term development potential. Chinese and European enterprises play an important role in promoting ESG construction. This conference aims to showcase the excellent practices of Chinese and European enterprises in the field of ESG, and promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in sustainable development.

Highlights of the conference

Theme speech: Huang Yangyang, Consul General of China in Frankfurt, delivered a speech at the event, emphasizing the important role of ESG in business operations and economic and trade cooperation.

Case sharing: Representatives from Chinese companies such as Sinopec, Global New Materials, and Hongqi, as well as companies such as Germany's EasyEasy Group and Germany's TECNARO, shared their achievements in ESG construction.

Roundtable discussion: CATL and representatives from Chinese and German companies such as Fresenius Kirby had in-depth roundtable discussions on ESG issues.

Award Presentation: The conference established ten categories including environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance, and selected about 30 shortlisted cases, and awarded the Best Case Award.

Conference outcomes

This conference not only provides a platform for Chinese and European enterprises to showcase their achievements in ESG construction, but also provides an opportunity for both sides to exchange and cooperate. Taicang High tech Industrial Development Zone has been awarded the Best Urban Community Case in the ESG Field of China Europe Economic and Trade Exchange and Cooperation.
